Uskom has been awarded the contract for turnkey construction of National Load Control Center (NLCC) for Afghanistan. The system will ensure reliable transmission and switching of electricity throughout Afghanistan. The NLCC system will be equipped with supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and related equipment needed to enhance the reliability, effectiveness, efficiency, and safety of the North East Power System (NEPS) operations. Uskom will construct the Master Station and SCADA at 16 substation and power plants. Uskom will also train a significant number of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) (Afghanistan Utility Company) engineers to transfer leading edge knowledge in cost effectively managing electricity networks.

Uskom continues its operations in its new office in Istanbul.
